    Mat White

    Software Engineer

    Q. What did you do before joining Jenison?
    A. It’s difficult to say really – no really, what with the drugs and alcohol and all that. I think I might have been transported to earth through some kind of space time vortex thing.

    Q. How long have you been at Jenison?
    A. Time is such an ephemeral concept dude. I do know that I get into trouble for not getting in on time, but I’m kinda cute so I just look dumb and helpless – seems to work. Oh back to the question – 2 years 3 months 4 days 3 hours and 27 minutes.

    Q. Likes?
    A. Dylon, my pet rabbit – people get us confused.

    Q. Dislikes?
    A. Getting up in the morning – getting up at all really.

    Q. Family?
    A. None that I know of, but I saw an episode of Star Trek where one of the subjugated beings looked familiar.

    Q. What are you reading?
    A. The Magic Roundabout

    Claire Davidson

    Production Team

    Q. What did you do before joining Jenison?
    A. Well lots really, what with growing up and learning to accept that I was really really lovely. I’m from Scotland you see and the team are convinced that I always say ‘really’. It’s not true, no really it’s not. Och there I go again.

I’ve a degree in digital design that I’m really proud of.

    Q. How long have you been at Jenison?
    A. I started as a voice over for the Pathways series which was really intended to reflect the Scottish flavour of many of the examples.

I’ve now joined the production team working on the new Insights Classics range – I’m really loving it.

    Q. Likes?
    A. I think that Adam in the office is really cute.

    Q. Dislikes?
    A. Steve taking the mick out of my accent. Well really….

    Q. Family?
    A. Loving and very Scottish

    Q. What are you reading?

  • Tommy Ahearne

    Tommy Ahearne

    Senior Software Engineer

    Q. What did you do before joining Jenison?
    A. Graduated from Southampton Solent Uni in 2003 and my only goal in life was to get a place in the Jenison setup – I offered to do anything and they were kind enough to let me clean up and make coffee. In fact that’s basically what I still do but they give me a nice title to make me feel good about things.

    Q. How long have you been at Jenison?
    A. Since 2008 though in my heart it’s where I’ve always been.

    Q. Likes?
    A. Myself actually, though I have to say that my boss, the legendary Steve Soper is someone I aspire to.

    Q. Dislikes?
    A. The fact that I’m not Steve Soper

    Q. Family?
    A. My dad keeps telling me ‘You’re no son of mine’ and my mum keeps saying ‘Call yourself a son?’, so I’m not really sure.

    Q. What are you reading?
    A. Steve says I should be reading ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’, but I’m currently reading The Sun

    Eila Ulyett

The New Voice for Insights Classics

Eila came into the world with a talent that even at the age of 1 minute she knew how to use: her lungs

Her recitals of Hamlet at the age of 6 weeks sent the world & her family into raptures of raptures.

Jokes to one side, Eila is a seriously talented voiceover great.

We’re delighted to have her on board for the new series and are certain that you’ll find your learning experience so much the better for it.

  • Steve Soper

    Steve Soper

    CEO & Founder

    Q. Why start Jenison?
    A. I’d spent years making a lot of money for others and getting little in return. Rather than moan about my lot, I just decided to go out on my own. I had a lot of experience in IT as a technician, techincal author/translator (fluent in German) and wannabe marketeer. I’d landed in the elearning sector more by chance than design, but I simply loved being involved in it. After that it was a bit of what I knew and those I’d met along the way that made it possible.

    Q. And the name Jenison?
    A. Jenni & Alison, my daughters (Jen-ison) – nothing more deep and meaningful than that I’m afraid. My wife and I started the business in 1995, Jen was 3 and Ali was 1.

    Q. Dislikes?
    A. Bullying in any guise

    Q. Family?
    A. Married for 21 years to Sharron, who’s still a part of the Jenison team, 3 children, Jenni 19, Alison 17 and Mike 7.

    Q. What are you reading?
    A. Usually got my head buried in one of the PC mags or on the web.

    Rob Foulston

Just passing through so to speak

    Q. What did you do before joining Jenison?
    A. You really don’t want to know, but hang on a second, I’m nothing to do with Jenison, other than they let me use their parking space to find the gents.

    Q. How long have you been at Jenison?
    A. Well it took a few minutes, but that’s only because there was a bit of a queue.

    Q. Likes?
    A. Like everyone else before me, as I was waiting I saw Steve Soper and from a distance could tell that he was pretty cool. He is a bit of an adonis but I think I held up pretty well in comparison.

    Q. Dislikes?
    A. I’ve a weak bladder so the queue to the loo was a bit of a pain

    Q. Family?
    A. I’m a very private superhero, but needless to say they are of good trianium stock.

    Q. What are you reading?
    A. Just some mag they leave hanging about while you’re queueing.
